Surface treatment and potential safety hazards of CCA

 2025-12-25

There are numerous metal materials available today, and various types of materials are used in our daily lives. Copper-clad aluminum is one of the most commonly used materials. When working with this type of material, how should we proceed with surface treatment? Now, let's analyze the surface treatment of copper-clad aluminum and the potential safety hazards that may exist. We hope this will be helpful to everyone.

The surface treatment of copper-clad aluminum typically involves spraying. The application of electrostatic spraying to the surface treatment of curtain wall aluminum panels not only reduces color variations but also enables the production of aluminum panels in various colors. Electrostatic spraying is generally divided into powder coating and fluorocarbon coating. The raw materials for powder coating include polyurethane, polyurethane resin, epoxy resin, hydroxy polyester resin, and epoxy/polyester resin, which can be formulated in multiple colors. The characteristics of powder coating include manual and automatic hanging spraying equipment, simple construction, coating thickness of over 30 microns, good impact resistance, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, weather resistance, and lower coating prices compared to fluorocarbon coating.

Although copper-clad aluminum wire has many advantages, mainly due to its combination of the best characteristics of two different metals, being lightweight and relatively inexpensive, it is essentially considered from the perspective of aluminum in terms of its application range, replacing aluminum in places where aluminum is not suitable.
